Many customers have been waiting for a device that can help them analyse surface defects in small diameter wire/cable/tubing during production. Being able to detect scratches, bubbles, marks on diameters smaller than a 1 mm was a challenge far from obvious. However, as usual, CERSA engineers have taken up the challenge and now offer a revolutionary technology capable of detecting surface defects on diameters down to 20µm.

The measuring principle of the SQM-F can be likened to a ring camera that continuously analyses the wire surface and displays a 2D image, even at very high drawing speeds.

Thanks to its exceptional performance (200,000 images/sec, linear resolution of 18µm) and associated with the CIM Prod analysis software, the SQM-F will allow you to detect, analyse and above all be able to correct your defects on the spot, and consequently improve your final quality while reducing your rejects.
